Auditor Changes
Avantis Auditor Changes provides full visibility into all auditor changes reported on SEDAR. Extracted changes are displayed in a structured grid format for easy viewing and downloading. Relevant notes, such as the reason for the change, are included for added context.

Running an Auditor Change Report

Broad Search for Better Results

Since auditor changes are relatively rare, it’s often best to run a comprehensive report for all changes over a given period.

The number of results is typically manageable, even with a broad date range.

Add Change Date Criteria

If not already added, go to + Add criteria > Change Date in your main search window.

Set a Date Range

Select a start date to see all reported auditor changes from that point onward. Investigate other date range options in the dropdown

Run the Search

Click Search to retrieve results.

Review Your Results

The results grid will display:
-
Companies that changed auditors within the selected timeframe
-
Former and new auditors
-
Change date
-
Reason for the change
- If any of the above columns don't appear, or if there are other columns you'd like to add to the report, click on Select columns and order (the icon that looks like two columns side-by-side) and choose the criteria you want to add to your grid as columns

Auditor Change-Specific Criteria

Change Date – Specifies the date or date range of auditor changes.

Change Note Type – Categorizes the Change Reason Notes:

Change Reason – The reason for the change, such as:

At Client’s Request

Auditor’s Resignation

Other relevant explanations

Change Reason Note – Provides additional context if any special conditions were noted.

Former Auditor – The auditor before the change.

Successor Auditor – The auditor after the change.
