Earnings Calls & Transcripts - Searching Events and Documents

Avantis provides comprehensive access to corporate events and transcripts, allowing you to search across thousands of earnings calls, capital markets days, and shareholder meetings. This dataset includes full audio, playable in real time or post-event, original and enhanced transcripts, slide decks, and official reports, fully searchable by event type, document content, and specific fiscal periods.

What is an Earnings Call?

An earnings call is a quarterly teleconference or webcast where a public company’s senior management (typically the CEO and CFO) presents the financial results of a specific reporting period to analysts, investors, and the media.

While the primary purpose is to discuss the financial data released in the earnings report (such as the 10-Q or 8-K filings), the call serves a broader strategic function: it allows management to provide "color" or narrative context that raw numbers cannot convey. It also gives investors and analysts an opportunity to ask questions in order to evaluate the information and tone of the responses given by management.

While earnings calls happen on a schedule, significant events—like announcing a merger or changing financial predictions (guidance)—can trigger a special conference call outside of the normal quarterly schedule. These are also included in this dataset.
