Filter Search Results
Avantis offers powerful tools to sort, multi-sort, filter, and group your columns. For the most effective use, we recommend paying special attention to Grouping Your Search Results (see Grouping Search Results). Below are step-by-step instructions to help you get started with filtering your search results.
Important Note: Filtering your view vs narrowing your search
- Filtering only filters among the options already displayed in your result grid
- Filtering does not re-run your search and retrieve any new results from the server - it only limits your view of the results you are already seeing
- Filtering will never display any new results not already in your grid
- To get new results not currently displaying in your grid, narrow your criteria selections up top and re-run your search
- Quick filter in grid
- Expanded filter options
- Type ahead to filter by text
- Search to find values
- Build compound filtering commands
