TROUBLESHOOTING: Missing Documents In My 1000+ Results
If your search results are missing known documents, you may have reached the maximum number of results allowed (results cap). When this happens, some relevant documents may not appear in your search. To ensure you see all relevant results:
- Refine your search criteria to reduce the number of results below the cap.
- Increase the cap
- Do both
This will prevent you from viewing only the best matches while missing others. See below for more

Ensuring You Receive All Relevant Results:
If you only need to see some relevant samples, this is not an issue.
If, however, you want to find either:
- All of the relevant results
- All the newest relevant results
You will want to add filters to your search to get less than your maximum number of results
To see all relevant results or all relevant results within a timeframe (including all new relevant results), your total number of results should not have a "+" sign next to it. A "+" indicates that additional relevant results exist but are not being displayed.
To mitigate this, use a combination of search criteria to bring the number of results below the limit:
-
The Filing Date filter is a particularly useful way to refine your search.
-
Narrowing the date range will reduce the number of results. Once your results fall below the maximum, the "+" sign will disappear, confirming that you are seeing all relevant documents for that time period.
- You may use any combination of criteria, not only filing date, to reduce your result set to below 1000+.
